It is essential that we recruit more volunteers if we are to sustain full time broadcast. To kick start this process, we have booked three venues in Teesdale for Recruitment Events:
Wednesday 9th May - Staindrop Scarth Hall, Staindrop
Monday 14th May - Parish Hall, Barnard Castle
Wednesday 16th May - Middleton in Teesdale Village Hall
The event is open to the public from 7.00 – 8.00 p.m.
The general press release announcing the event is attached. There is a lot to do, so please make every effort to get involved.
- Attend the event
- Spread the word
- Bring a friend
- Help publicise the event beforehand – posters will be available for you to distribute
- Take an active part at the event itself
- Help set out and clear away the event
Detailing all the individual jobs would take at least another page of this Circular, so PLEASE TAKE THE INITIATIVE, and get in touch if you can help out.
Whatever you are able to contribute to the Recruitment Events and the Limited Service Broadcast, please keep in contact:
- Come on Tuesday evenings if you can (7.00 – 9.00pm at Enterprise House)
- Peter Dixon is now full time Station Manager - give him a ring at the Station
- Ask a key holder if you can come at another time.

We are the first community radio station in the North East to be broadcasting with a full time community radio license.

2007 - Circular No 9
Limited Service Broadcast (LSB)
We need more material to broadcast – below are some suggestions as to how we can move forward on this.
Personal Contribution: Think about what you personally can contribute. Can you chat about the kind of shows you would like to hear? Do you know someone with an interesting story who you can interview? Can you tell jokes?!! BE CREATIVE!
Group Contribution: Think about what systems we need to build for live broadcast and contribute as part of a team – at the moment we are hoping to get a What’s On team together and record a What’s On feature each week. In live broadcast we will need to do this daily – so here’s a chance to prove to ourselves that we can do it.
Keep in contact:
- Come on Tuesday evenings if you can.
- Ask a key holder if you can come at another time.
- Ring Ros if you would like to come on a Wednesday afternoon/early evening – this is starting to be a busy and productive time.
- If you are unsure about how to contribute, just give us a call.

We are also keen to have an up-to-date photographic record of our activities – anyone can submit a photo to us by e-mail or just dropped in to Reception at Enterprise House.
